House of ambiance

inquire now

Most homeowners preparing to sell focus on making their home look good. What’s often missed is that visual appeal and emotional impact are not the same thing. A home can be immaculate and still fail to register. Buyers walk through, take it in, and forget it almost immediately.

When home staging is guided by design psychology, the experience changes. Buyers move through the space and something lands. The layout feels intuitive. The rooms feel resolved. There’s a quiet clarity that stays with them after the showing ends. These are the homes that return to mind.

Design Psychology at the Core of Every Staging

Our staging process is built around how buyers experience space, not just how they see it.

THREE levels of staging

inquire to get started

We offer Restyle Staging at every level. Restyle Staging incorporates the client’s existing furniture and supplements it with pieces from our own inventory, creating a cohesive, market-ready presentation without starting from scratch.

re-style staging service

A fully customized staging experience using premium, larger-scale pieces selected specifically for the home. This level is designed for properties where the staging needs to match the asking price. Every decision, from scale to silhouette to tonal palette, is made to reflect the value of the property and the discernment of the buyer it is speaking to.

TIER 03 / HIGH-END

Higher-quality furnishings and additional layers that bring presence and warmth to each space. This level is designed for homes where the architecture and character deserve to be matched by the staging. Every room feels finished, intentional, and easy for buyers to picture as their own.

TIER 02 / MID-GRADE

A clean, minimal approach that defines layout and function while presenting a welcoming, market-ready atmosphere. Furniture placement establishes room function and scale. Styling is controlled and cohesive without overwhelming the space. Buyers can walk in and immediately understand how the home works, which is often the difference between a showing that sticks and one that fades.

THE REVIEWS

"House of Ambiance completely changed how the home was perceived. The space felt calm, clear, and intentional the moment buyers walked in. We had strong interest almost immediately."

"As an agent I have worked with many stagers, but this felt different. The layout made sense, the rooms felt balanced, and buyers understood the home without explanation."

"Working with Kelly changed how I experience my own home. It was not a dramatic overhaul. It was thoughtful, layered, and exactly right."

Frequently Asked Questions

What does home staging  typically cost?

Staging investment varies based on the size of the property, the level of service selected (Standard, Mid-Grade, or High-End), and whether the home is vacant or occupied. We provide a custom quote after a walkthrough so the pricing is always specific to the property and the goal. Most clients find the investment pays for itself many times over through stronger offers and shorter time on market.

How is House of Ambiance different from other home staging companies in the Hudson Valley?

A few things set our approach apart. We own our full furniture inventory, which means every piece brought into your home was chosen with the specific property in mind, not whatever was available in a rental warehouse. Our founder holds a Master's degree in Psychology and approaches staging analytically, studying layout, proportion, and light before designing each space. And we offer three distinct service tiers, which no other local stager does, so the staging always fits the actual scope of the project.

Do you work with real estate agents and teams?

Yes. We work directly with listing agents and real estate teams throughout Hudson Valley, Westchester County, NYC, the Catskills, and Connecticut. If you are an agent looking for a consistent staging partner for your listings, we would love to talk.

Can you stage a home that still has the seller's belongings in it?

Yes. Our restyling service is designed specifically for occupied homes. We work with what is already there, editing the existing furniture and decor, making selective additions from our inventory, and creating a cohesive presentation that photographs beautifully and shows well without requiring the seller to store or remove everything they own.
